K. Rose offers over 25 years of experience raising the sights of non-profits to build deeper, sustainable sources of funding for capital campaigns, special projects and general operating support. Founder, Karen Rose, is a strategic problem-solver who approaches each project with creative solutions based on best practices and years of proven fundraising effectiveness. Rose has worked for and consulted with a variety of organizations including libraries, private schools colleges, museums, ministries and a variety of social service agencies.
The K. Rose philosophy on fundraising is that good, sustainable fundraising requires a shared experience between the donor and the organization. Donors give philanthropically to solve problems or meet specific needs to help improve the world, whether that is their school, local community or the planet. Helping donors experience that thrill of making a difference is the responsibility of the development team and organizational leadership. This requires intentional, authentic, consistent and passionate efforts to immerse donors in the mission as valued partners.
Capital Campaigns
Successful capital campaigns require five foundational elements: 1) a compelling case for giving; 2) access to donors with capacity and willingness to give to your mission; 3) strong, committed and passionate leadership; 4) a financial model and campaign plan; and 5) discipline to follow through on every step of the campaign plan. Each of these elements is critical and requires strategic planning and preparation. K. Rose will guide your organization through the development and refinement of each of these elements in preparation for the campaign and throughout its execution.
Campaign Readiness/Feasibility Studies
Sharing your vision with potential donors and listening to their perspectives and advise is highly valuable to achieving a successful campaign. K. Rose considers these conversations the first step in preparing donors for a future ask. With a sincere interest in people and their motivations, K. Rose approaches feasibility studies as the first step in building relationships and making that potential connection between donor interests and organizational vision.
Development Counsel
Karen Rose will conduct a thorough assessment of your development operations to determine effectiveness in policies, practices, structures and plans for growth. Most development offices benefit from an outside review and measurement against best practices and benchmarks. K.
